Here are the fees to participate in our J-1 program here at Internexus San Diego

* Duration refers to the time employed at the host company. It does not include 1) the time between arrival and start of internship or training and 2) the 4 weeks grace period at the end.
** Processing times are based on the assumption that host company and program participant are cooperative and available as well as provide information on short notice. Days must be added in case of a needed on-site visit (see below).
Note: We prefer to work with a partner on a single test case in order to get to know each other. For the first case, we will charge only 50% of the fees listed in the table above.
Refunds: Enjoy a money-back guarantee. We understand that things can happen. 100% of fees will be refunded for cancellations before the issuance of the form DS-2019. No questions asked. 50% of the fee will be refunded for cancellations between issuance of the DS-2019 and program start date. Sorry, no refunds after the program has begun.
Other fees:
- $160 Consulate fee (to be paid directly to U.S. embassy or consulate )
- $220 SEVIS fee (to be paid to directly to the Department of Homeland Security)
- $500 for a J-2 Visa for spouse and children; per person
- $200 for on-site visit at future host company ( only if company is new to the J1 program and has either fewer than 25 employees or an annual revenue under $3M)
- $200 Replacement of DS-2019 form (in case of loss, change of training dates, etc.)
- $800 Extension of internship under 6 months / $1,000 for extension of internship more than 6 months
- $1,150 Change of host company * N/A
- Travel Insurance 1.99/day (coverage $100,000, deductible $100) / 2.60/day (coverage $100,000, deductible $0) / 3.90/day (coverage $1,000,000, deductible $0); full refund in case of program cancellation or shorting
